Left Porthcawl in warm sunshine and arrived in Cardiff to freezing gloom. The most interesting image was this strange juxtaposition, which I have obviously called execution. It tells a story (of sorts).
So 13 has been unlucky, but I was still out there looking. I was tempted to cheat and use some of the stuff from yesterday which was much better. Hay ho.
Sorry for the delay. This was shot on day nine, but i was knackered and unable to post the image. I got some nice images yesterday with some sun (yes-it’s been a rarity in these jet stream jumble days), but the image I chose to manipulate was very much stuck in yesterdays weather. A nice image of the Radissonblu, Cardiff, reflected in a pool of fag butts. Day 10 will be on Day 10. Enjoy.
It’s difficult sourcing images (not impossible) when your shoot times are too and from work. As the days lengthen, opportunities will become greater, but now I have to admit I’m struggling, hence the abrasive use of post production filters. I am not opposed surreptitious use of filters, but I’m old school. I’ve come from a film background, which is the greatest of disciplines. Get it right in camera. Or better yet shoot it how you want it in camera. The original of this images is ok, but not whoohoo! Hence the use of filters. Don’t think any worse of me, lol.
So much happier with todays offering. I took some iPhone pictures on the way to work but nothing that gave me a warm feeling. On the way back to the station with the sun setting, I got some good shadows and some good reflections and as it turned out texture.
